Winter in York, PA is a crazy thing. One winter we may get a couple huge snowstorms that have upwards to a foot of snow! Or other years we may have some winter days in the upper 60's. This year has been a strange winter by itself. We went from mid 60's weather with the sun shining bright for 3 days straight. The day after having a sunny 60 day we got close to 4-inches of snow with below-freezing temperatures with high winds.
Some people hate snow and others love it. I am one of those people that love everything about it. For the first half of my life I grew up in Michigan where we'd have consistent winters with good snowfalls. I guess it is just in my blood to love snow. I find peace in walking in freshly laid snow. Snow brings soft edges and stillness to places that are not usually still.
On this cold afternoon I was able to go out and explore through the snow. I put on my boots and went out to capture the beauty of the snow because I knew it wasn't going to stay. Tell me what you think of the photos!
